We Require
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, health promotion, public health, medical technology, health sciences, or a health-related field
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
  • Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete a background check
  • Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
  • Travel may be required to attend conferences, training, and possibly varying work locations
We Also Value
  • Experience coordinating or supporting public health programs, preferably in STI/HIV, communicable disease, or related services
  • Knowledge of public health planning, evaluation methods, and quality improvement practices
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support program monitoring, compliance, and decision-making
  • Familiarity with grant-funded programs, including tracking deliverables, reporting requirements, and compliance standards
