- Develops, implements, maintains, and enforces complex and/or multiple aspects of Banner Health's Corporate Compliance Program
- Promotes compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA requirements
- Serves as a strategic leader and subject matter expert
- Develops, implements, and coordinates with internal stakeholders
- Designs and conducts routine and ad hoc auditing and monitoring activities
- Creates and monitors ethical and compliance standards expected of employees
- Identifies need to create and execute training and education programs
- Provides regular reports to leadership and compliance committees
- Investigates and responds to compliance concerns, questions, and complaints
- Maintains awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and enforcement actions
- Directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of staff
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or other relevant field
- Seven years of experience in healthcare compliance or operations
- Minimum of three years management level experience within a healthcare system setting or large multi-operational, complex corporate environment
- Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to healthcare, regulatory compliance, Medicare/Medicaid, and HIPAA
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with executives, management teams, physicians, and regulatory agencies
- Excellent problem-solving and planning skills
- Proficiency with computers and relevant applications
Demonstrates expertise in developing and enforcing healthcare compliance programs, with a strong focus on regulatory requirements such as Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA. Proven ability to lead teams, conduct audits, and create training programs to promote ethical standards within a healthcare environment.
