The Business Support Assistant for our Interventional and Neuro Interventional Radiology clinic plays a vital role in supporting our growing department's administrative and clinical operations.

You will be responsible for coordinating patient care and follow-up activities to support efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. The Business Support Assistant coordinates post-procedure care by ordering and tracking serial imaging and laboratory testing per provider protocols, ensuring timely completion and availability of results for review. Additional responsibilities include monitoring follow-up needs, coordinating care across providers and departments, serving as a primary patient contact, scheduling appointments, managing patient communications, maintaining accurate EMR documentation, and facilitating effective communication to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 8AM-4:30PM and Friday 7AM-3:30PM, no holidays Banner University Medical Group is our nonprofit faculty practice plan associated with the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine in Phoenix and Tucson. Our 1,100-plus clinicians provide primary and specialty care to patients at highly ranked Banner - University Medical Centers and dozens of clinics while providing mentorship to more than 1,200 residents and fellows.

CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Provides administrative and customer or vendor services in assigned area. This may include performing business support functions and related administrative tasks to support a program or process.
  • Reviews and/or audits documents, forms or invoices for appropriateness/accuracy. Initiates corrective action, as appropriate.
  • Corresponds with customers, patients, potential candidates, and vendors using defined formats and procedures, via verbal, electronic and written communications.
  • Maintains records and/or files for assigned area. Ensures appropriate documentation is timely and accurately entered into departmental application.
  • As assigned, prepares, collates, and distributes various reports in a timely and accurate manner. May complete or handle recurring department projects or one-time projects, as directed by supervisor.
  • May maintain supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Works independently under general supervision. Represents the company as a primary point of contact to outside entities such as insurance claimants, patients, service providers, community agencies, vendors, etc.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent education and two or more years administrative work experience in a related area.
    • Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
    • Works independently under general supervision. Represents the company as a primary point of contact to outside entities such as insurance claimants, patients, service providers, community agencies, vendors, etc.
    • Must have the ability to follow oral and written directions as they relate to the functions listed above.
