Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office is the oncology service line for Banner Research.
The department operates in Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. The department conducts Phases I-III treatment clinical trials covering all disease groups with the goal to provide support to the physician investigators and to provide trial treatment options to the patients in a safe and ethical manner, while ensuring compliance to the FDA and institutional regulations. The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator will support our team of CRC's and RN's with research related functions, as well as oversee their own portfolio of long term follow up studies.
Primarily coordination of trials, consenting, data entry.
- Lab Coordination – The ACRC will take on responsibilities of lab collection and coordination at this site (following Banner Phlebotomy Training).
- Data Management – Ownership of data management tasks is a key component of the day-to-day function.
- Clinical Trial Leadership – Once competency is demonstrated, the ACRC will independently lead lower clinical complexity clinical trials, with a primary focus in enrolling patients into radiation oncology and imaging studies and conducting follow-up and independent management of lead coordinator activities.
- Expanding into coordination of higher complexity studies over time.
- Supporting the research nurse and coordinator across a broad portfolio of studies spanning a wide array of disease indications.
- Optional travel to Northwest Valley (NWV) for team building events and Creati Veam meetings, held approximately monthly.
- Optional opportunity to support regional sites beyond Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix for candidates interested in broader engagement.

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing research clinical conduct and data collection and entry support for clinical research studies. Duties include handling key operational functions for research studies and abstracting relevant research related data from medical records and source documents, populating, and coordinating use of research data bases and data sources, participant consenting, screening, enrollment, quality review, training, report production, and submission of collected research data.
