Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Crisis Specialist (30 or 40 hour shifts) – Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). The position is part of the Crisis Mobile Team, which provides behavioral health, prevention, education, crisis intervention, and crisis stabilization services to children, adolescents, adults, seniors and families across various settings.
The individual will be professional, friendly, self‑starter, organized, and compassionate.
Responsibilities- Respond on‑site to crisis calls that cannot be resolved by the Crisis Call Center.
- Assess risk, effectively engage with clients, develop plans, and follow‑up as needed.
- Work respectfully with clients, families, schools, first responders and other stakeholders.
- Focus care on seriously mentally ill individuals, children/adolescents, and family interventions.
- Assess and stabilize clients of different ages, developmental stages, cultural backgrounds, and experiences.
- Make appropriate referrals to other agencies or long‑term counseling when appropriate.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to change.
- Preferred:
Arizona license – LCSW, LPC, LISAC, LMSW, LAC, LASAC or LMFT – in good standing. - New graduates in behavioral health welcome; training will be provided.
Full‑time employment. Shift options:
- Sun–Tues 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. (40 hrs)
- Sun–Wed 2 p.m. – 12 a.m. (40 hrs)
- Thurs–Sat 2 p.m. – 12 a.m. (30 hrs)
Shift differentials: $3 /hour extra for evenings, $4 /hour extra for weekends; bilingual language differential available.
