This position provides physical therapy services to a pediatric population ranging from neonate to adolescence. Services include evaluation, treatment, and use of modalities such as exercise, heat, water, electricity, massage, light, and ultrasound.

• Evaluate and treat patients with sensory-motor or musculoskeletal disorders, demonstrating knowledge of normal growth and providing age-appropriate services using prescribed modalities.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with Joint Commission and CARF standards and participate in Total Quality Management.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines, plan discharge, provide patient/family teaching, and implement home programs.
• Use pediatric-based behavior management strategies and match interventions to the child’s age and disability.
• Supervise and direct rehab technicians and/or students, providing input into performance evaluations.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

• BA or higher degree from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.

• Pediatric experience.

• Pediatric orthopedics and/or neurology, child development.

• Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy license prior to start date.
• AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card prior to start date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association prior to start date.
