This is a Monday
- Friday position working 4x10hr shifts from 7:30a - 6:00pm with a rotating day off.

This role has a required on‑call rotation. 1 call shift/week and 1 full on‑call weekend in a 6‑week period.

In this role you'll perform specialized high‑acuity neuro‑interventional radiographic procedures including mechanical thrombectomy, arteriovenous malformations, angioplasty, and coil embolization in accordance with departmental protocols. Prepares patients and work area, reviews cases for appropriate supplies, and anticipates physician needs by passing wires, catheters, and specialized neuro devices. Operates and troubleshoots C‑arms and imaging equipment while maintaining aseptic technique and radiation safety standards.

Educates patients and families, administers radiopharmaceuticals and approved medications, produces high‑quality diagnostic images, and maintains accurate documentation. Responds independently to interventional radiology and neuro call backs while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs prescribed specialized high acuity neurologic and body‑focused radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. Can function independently when responding to interventional radiology call back and/or neuro call back.

Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.

Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.

Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures in accordance with established policies. Includes mechanical thrombectomy, intra‑arterial thrombolysis, brain, head/neck, orbit and spine arteriovenous fistulas, brain, head/neck and spine arteriovenous malformations, carotid artery, vertebral artery, and intracranial angioplasty, coil embolization, balloon‑assisted coil embolization, and cerebral and spinal angiography. Demonstrates competency in neuro‑interventional radiology procedures in addition to lower‑level Special Procedures Technologist role.
