Job Summary

At the direction of the Bureau Chief, this position will be responsible for EMS and Trauma System education initiatives aimed at improving workforce training access and resiliency (related to COVID-19 recovery). This position will participate in Bureau of EMS and Trauma System statutory and standing committee meetings and work closely with Bureau program managers to ensure that access to education and training resources remain up-to-date and relevant.

The position will be tasked with identifying and maintaining training and education resources on the Bureau's website, disseminating information to stakeholders, and developing training program recognition criteria to promote best practices as needed. The role may also work collaboratively with Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) on the agency's crosscutting strategic plan priorities related to EMS and Trauma System. Additionally, this position will assist Program Managers and the Program Coordinator with developing and testing our new IT system for internal and external users.

Development and testing of the system will require one to assist with requirements gathering and building an IT-Bureau roadmap, as well as significant knowledge of User Agreement Testing (UAT) to determine bugs/issues related to the new system. Once developed, this position will assist with implementation that will involve developing training and standard work to assist internal and external users, as well as hosting training seminars to further assist users and stakeholders to ensure competency.

This position must communicate clearly and effectively with various levels on internal and external stakeholders during training seminars, and statutory and standing committee meetings. Moreover, this position will continuously work to ensure positive and successful relationships/partnerships with various external stakeholder groups to increase participation in recognition programs and education and training dissemination. Furthermore, this position will oversee the updated and/or newly created training and education material offered within the new IT system and consistently improve the material based on stakeholder feedback and reporting metrics.

In addition, this position will present findings and metrics in regards to the training and education material to management to aid in adjusting strategic planning efforts for the Office.

Job Duties

  • Participate in Bureau of EMS and Trauma System statutory and standing committee meetings and engage with various external stakeholder groups to ensure positive relationships and increased participation in recognition programs and training/education dissemination.
  • Work collaboratively with Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) on the agency's crosscutting strategic plan priorities related to EMS and Trauma System.
  • Oversee and manage special projects for the Bureau as directed
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
