We are seeking a Receptionist to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Required Skills:
- One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Insurance verification experience preferred.
- Prior authorization experience preferred.
- OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates general computer proficiency including data entry, word processing, email, and electronic record management.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting patients, visitors, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct callers appropriately.
- Provide hospital telecommunications services utilizing telephones, paging systems, radios, and other communication tools.
- Facilitate patient flow from referral through admission in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Obtain and verify demographic and financial information to ensure accurate patient registration and billing.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility as needed.
- Assist with obtaining and tracking prior authorizations when applicable.
- Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems.
- Maintain records related to hospital telecommunications, on-call schedules, paging, and other communication activities.
- Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining effective communication and exceptional customer service.
