Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Intake Behavioral Health Technician at College Medical Center Phoenix, where your expertise will make a meaningful impact every day. This position promptly answers incoming calls, demonstrates the ability to screen clients, and forwards information to the appropriate licensed personnel. Accurately enters all pre-admission screening information into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system as needed. Handles intake calls and walk-ins, rounds on patients in the intake lobby, bathrooms, and patio, and ensures that the intake lobby is safe at all times.

Responds quickly and therapeutically in crisis and emergency situations.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
  • Prior BHT experience in a psychiatric setting highly preferred.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
  • CPI certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic computer and English communication skills.
  • Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist patients.
Job-Specific Duties
  • Assist licensed staff with patient care and the intake/admission process.
  • Observe and monitor patients and report changes to clinical staff.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living.
  • Maintain patient safety and appropriate supervision.
  • Support staff with phone coverage, patient supervision, and other departmental needs.
  • Remain flexible with assignments based on patient and hospital needs.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
