Director of Surgical Service

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Procedural and Surgical Services to provide 24-hour leadership and operational oversight for OR, Pre-Op, PACU, Cath Lab, and EP Lab
. The Director will ensure high-quality patient care, strong team performance, regulatory compliance, and efficient department operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop perioperative and procedural services teams.
  • Oversee daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, physicians, and hospital leadership.
  • Monitor quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage department budgets, productivity, and financial performance.
  • Improve workflows, patient outcomes, and overall department efficiency.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, professional development, and succession planning.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and support the growth of Surgical and Procedural Services.
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Arizona or eligibility for Arizona licensure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Progressive leadership experience in perioperative/surgical services
    .
  • Experience managing clinical operations, staffing, quality, and budgets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • CNOR or relevant specialty certification.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary surgical teams in an acute-care hospital
    .
