About the Role

New Freedom is seeking therapists across multiple levels of clinical development, from master’s-level clinicians working toward associate licensure to independently licensed behavioral health professionals. Candidates will be considered for Therapist I, Therapist II, or Therapist III based on their education, Arizona licensure, experience, and demonstrated clinical competencies.

Across all levels, Therapists provide individual and group behavioral health services within an Intensive Outpatient Program setting. Treatment focuses on substance use, trauma, post-incarceration challenges, co-occurring behavioral health needs, recovery, and successful community reentry. Therapists work collaboratively with members, families when appropriate, and multidisciplinary treatment teams to deliver compassionate, evidence-informed care.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Conducting behavioral health assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing individual psychotherapy and facilitating structured clinical and psycho educational groups
  • Applying motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other evidence-informed interventions
  • Supporting members in addressing substance use, trauma, co-occurring needs, and reentry-related barriers
  • Monitoring member progress, functioning, and risk while responding within the appropriate scope of practice
  • Collaborating with members, families, clinicians, Peer Coaches, Re-Entry Specialists, and other care team members
