The Clinical Affairs Specialist, MCS, covers the Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Intra-Aortic Balloon Catheter (IABC) product portfolio by fulfilling the educational needs of customers over the full spectrum of product adoption and utilization. This is in collaboration with the commercial team, including the Sales Representative/Clinical Sales Specialist. Activities include, but are not limited to, presentation and didactic program delivery, objection handling, and solution positioning that supports the safe and effective use of the MCS product portfolio.
- Identify and expand the customer base through professional networking, consultation related to best practices and the appropriate use of products, and timely professional follow-up.
- Maintain and develop expertise in the product portfolio.
- Work in conjunction with sales representatives and management to properly identify, prioritize targets, and achieve corporate, regional, and territory goals and objectives.
- Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job-related activities, including strict adherence to T&E travel and expense policies and procedures, timely filing of required and/or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms.
- Manage off-label inquiries and documentation.
- Keep current with medical literature, clinical initiatives/guidelines, competitive landscape, and industry trends and communicate with sales management, marketing, and other appropriate corporate departments.
- Lead and/or participate in educational, scientific, and promotional activities at identified local, regional, and national trade shows/exhibitions.
- Provide written and verbal communication to management and sales representatives regarding field activity and account information.
