Responsibilities
- Review and submit invoices for diagnostic lab services following agreement guidelines and policies
- Analyze disputed invoice transactions, identify root causes, and initiate corrective actions
- Proactively follow up on outstanding balances and monitor aging reports
- Maintain accurate records of invoice status and client correspondence in the billing system
- Collaborate with billing, reimbursement, Market Access, and Sales teams to resolve complex issues
- Stay current with client requirements and regulatory changes affecting invoicing
- Generate and analyze invoice performance reports to identify trends and process improvements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in medical claims processing, preferably in a diagnostic laboratory or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing, payer requirements, and denial management
- Familiarity with laboratory coding (CPT, ICD-10), EOBs, and remittance advice
- Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
