Position: VP, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI)
Responsibilities
  • Set the enterprise vision, strategy, and governance framework for clinical documentation integrity capabilities
  • Oversee the full CDI portfolio, including prospective, concurrent, and retrospective documentation initiatives
  • Establish enterprise governance, decision rights, policies, and performance standards
  • Maintain executive accountability for the performance, quality, scalability, and effectiveness of the CDI portfolio
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Clinical, and Coding leadership to ensure CDI policies and align with regulatory requirements
  • Define the CDI technology and data strategy in partnership with Technology, Product, Analytics, and Clinical leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing CDI organization aligned with growth strategy
  • Advise executive leadership on CDI performance, strategic opportunities, and material risks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, healthcare administration, nursing, business, or a related field
  • Current CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA credential required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in clinical documentation integrity, risk-adjustment coding, or related healthcare operations
  • 7+ years of people-leadership experience, including experience leading leaders and multi-layered teams
  • Deep knowledge of CMS risk-adjustment coding, HCC documentation, and ICD-10 coding
  • Experience supporting value-based care organizations, health systems, or health plans
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and clinicians
  • Willingness to travel based on business and partner needs
