** Anticipated Hiring Range: $23.25 - $29.63 hourly  Full Pay Range: $23.25 - $36.00 hourly    Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

** About the Position
** As the Epidemiology Investigator for Substance Use-Related Morbidities, you will support surveillance and prevention activities related to nonfatal opioid overdoses, hepatitis C, and other substance use-related health conditions. You will conduct confidential telephone interviews with clients, collect important health and risk-factor information, and provide respectful, person-centered, and nonjudgmental harm-reduction education, overdose-prevention information, and referrals to community and healthcare resources. You will also review medical and laboratory records, document investigation findings, and collaborate with healthcare providers, laboratories, community partners, and public health programs.

Your work will help connect residents with potentially lifesaving resources while improving Maricopa County’s understanding of substance use-related health impacts.

** We Require
*** Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, public health, medical technology, health sciences, or a related health field
* An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience interacting with clients and gathering health information through health-related investigations, community outreach, or case management in a public health, healthcare, or academic setting may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
