Summary of Position

The Property Inspector will assist the Area Director of Property Operations (ADPO) with resort property inspections of guest suites, public areas, conference rooms, landscape, etc. Playing a crucial role in ensuring our property meets the highest standards by conducting thorough inspections of all areas. They will also work with the Assistant Directors of Property Operations (Front of House (FOH) / Energy Management (EM)) with inspecting and documenting the condition of guest suites and public areas once preventative maintenance has been performed.

This position is responsible for reporting, data analysis and verifying the completion of work performed.

Essential Functions
  • Assist the ADPO in administrating and performing inspections across resort property.
  • Work with resort rooms and operations departments to determine best schedules for inspections that would be least disruptive to resort operations.
  • Communicate effectively with resort operations departments with scheduling appropriate times for complete inspections without affecting guests, groups, or other departments.
  • Assist ADPO with all administrative duties related to organizing photography, reports, and analyzing maintenance requirements.
  • Able to identify maintenance concerns, potential hazards, code violations, and provide comprehensive inspection reports that support informed decisions around property upkeep and renovations needs.
  • Create efficient commuting routes by prioritizing tasks based on urgency with the inspection of resort signage, public areas, hallways, landscapes, conference rooms, etc.
  • Serve as the company’s representative in the field with hospitality friendly interactions as necessary.
  • Capture detailed photos and provide detailed documentation of property conditions.
  • Inspecting areas regardless of challenging conditions that may be present and any miscellaneous field tasks as needed.
  • Work with ADPO, FOH and EM with inspections and documentation of completed guest suite preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with inspecting and documenting public area spaces. Possibly creating work orders for their department or other departments on property.
  • May be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the Area Director of Property Operations.
  • And any other tasks as assigned by the Area Director of Property Operations and/or the General Manager.
Qualifications Education

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other training or experience that provides the required knowledge.

Experience

Experience in organizing data, high level written and verbal communication skills, and high-level administrative skills. Must be highly organized and have excellent computer usage and software usage skills.

Certificates or Licenses

Arizona Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle record.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Knowledge of resort or hotel operations.
  • Proficient level knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including MS Word, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic English language and mathematical skills to communicate with co-workers.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling.
  • Ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs. and grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to move throughout the resort for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, assisting guests.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to memorize and perform Resort Standards.
