ABOUTTHE ROLE
DUO is building a small, high-performing hospitality team to support recurring events throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and surrounding communities.
We’re looking for two to three experienced, dependable professionals who bring strong hospitality instincts, polished guest service, and the ability to step into an event environment with confidence.
Ideal candidates have previous experience in restaurants, serving, bartending, hotels, resorts, golf courses, catering, event venues, private clubs, brand activations, or other guest-facing environments.
As part of our on-site team, you’ll assist with event setup, guest experience, beverage service, vendor support, event operations, and teardown. Your presence will help ensure every event runs smoothly, reflects DUO’s brand standards, and leaves a lasting impression.
This is flexible, part-time work with recurring midweek evening and weekend opportunities. Our strongest team members receive priority scheduling, increased responsibility, and opportunities to advance into bartending, logistics, and Event Lead assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with on-site setup and teardown of décor, food and beverage areas, signage, equipment, and event supplies
Greet and engage with residents and guests in a professional, welcoming manner
Provide attentive hospitality and guest service throughout the event
Serve beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages at 21+ events when assigned
Support DUO Event Leads, property teams, vendors, bartenders, DJs, and other event partners as needed
Manage check-in stations, wristbands, giveaways, activity tables, or other event elements
Restock supplies, clear used items, and maintain clean, organized, and polished event spaces
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting light event materials when needed
Anticipate guest and operational needs and respond with professionalism and urgency
Represent the DUO Events brand through punctuality, hospitality, teamwork, and reliability
REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience in hospitality, serving, bartending, hotels, golf courses, restaurants, catering, events, or another guest-facing environment is strongly preferred
Strong customer service instincts and the ability to remain professional and welcoming throughout an event
Reliable midweek evening availability, with additional weekend availability
Events are typically scheduled Wednesday through Saturday and may occasionally take place on Sundays
Able to lift approximately 20–30 pounds and remain on your feet for the duration of a shift
Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in active or fast-paced event environments
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow event plans, instructions, and brand standards
Professional communication, a teamwork mentality, and a solution-oriented mindset
Must have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, and reliable transportation
Must be dependable and able to arrive on time at event locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area
Preferred Experience:
Bartending, alcohol service, food handling, or hospitality certifications
