** Position Summary/
Purpose:
** The purpose of this role is to serve as an ambassador (organizationally & relationally) to prospective students who attend the overnight, expenses-paid-for, Discover GCU trip. This includes weekly event operations, presenting trained information, sharing of personal and positive GCU experiences, and providing a positive and safe environment for guests.
** Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/
Essential Functions:
*** Support and promote GCU’s Doctrinal Statement.
* Execute weekly event operations, procedures, policies, and protocols with absolute excellence.
* Present on trained information to groups of guests.
* Provide positive and safe experience for guests.
* Ensure inventory is adequate per each event.
* Ensure rooms are adequately cleaned and prepared for events.
* Additional Tasks as assigned.
** Equipment Used and Responsibility:
*** Microsoft 365 Suite
* Point of Sales (POS) systems
* Sky Touch* Group Me

* Qualifications:
**
* * Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and have open availability to consistently work weekends
** Experience with youth, preferably in a camp environment.
* Flexibility and enthusiasm is a must.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Outgoing and comfortable with public speaking in front of various groups.
* Campus living and extracurricular activities within GCU strongly preferred to be able to provide first-hand experience to visitors.

** Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
* Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.
* Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
* Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
* You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
