As a Breakfast Attendant/Server, you are responsible for set up and breakdown of the Breakfast Spread, serving food, and preparing beverages while providing exceptional service to property guests during breakfast, special events, and other catered functions, in addition to other property hosted events as requested and scheduled.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Follows all standards of Safe Food Handling and Health and Sanitation guidelines.
  • Follows all Hyatt Place brand standards
  • Sets up breakfast items, and replenish items as needed
  • Breaks down setup, cleans, and prepares items for next AM Shift or lunch shift
  • Enters orders to POS system and records guests' choices, special dietary needs and special requests
  • Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the work areas and up to department of health code. Keeps area stocked and maintained.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience with in a hotel/resort environment
  • A valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
  • Responsible Beverage Certified (TIPS)
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Reliable attendance history
  • Ability to serve needs of guest through verbal face-to-face interactions
  • Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Great IF YOU HAVE
  • Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards of comparable operation, guest relations and etiquette
  • Must be at least 17 years of age with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, and push/pull, the employee is constantly required to hear and talk. The employee must occasionally walk, climb stairs, stand, crouch/bend/stoop, reach, smell, and grasp and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities constantly required are near vision and occasionally required include close and far vision.

Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
