A confidential hospitality organization is seeking a strategic, outgoing Director of Operations & Sales to oversee an extensive multi-site portfolio generating substantial annual revenue. The primary objective for this executive position is to elevate the portfolio into a premier vacation resort experience.
This role is based out of the corporate office in Phoenix area with a work schedule structured around approximately 50% in-office, 50% in the field, and some remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic oversight across all portfolio properties, conducting regular site visits to evaluate operations, guest services, amenities, and overall standards.
- Team Management: Lead a large operational team, directly supporting General Managers, Activity Directors, Sales Teams, and Food & Beverage leadership.
- Financial Management: Direct property budgets, financial forecasts, revenue, and expenses while holding property leadership accountable for financial targets.
- Sales & Marketing Integration: Guide marketing strategy to drive guest traffic while partnering with sales leadership to optimize inventory management, lead pipelines, and sales conversion.
- Hospitality & Amenities: Oversee food and beverage operations, bistros, bars, live entertainment, and guest activities. Provide hands‑on assistance during peak daytime and nighttime events as needed.
- Strategic Onboarding: Focus the first 3 to 6 months on mastering internal systems, team dynamics, and core objectives ahead of the peak season without making immediate drastic operational changes.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive multi‑site operations leadership within resorts, hotels, property management, cruise lines, country clubs or closely related hospitality environments.
- Leadership Persona: Exceptionally outgoing and guest‑focused, bringing an engaging energy to the team.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with hospitality technology, property reservation platforms, and operational AI tools.
- Business & Sales Acumen: Proven history of driving P&L performance, managing budgets, and leading sales execution.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
