Banquet Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or management experience in banquets, within an upscale environment
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing weddings, corporate events, private parties, or large events
- Background in a country club, resort, hotel, or similar hospitality setting required
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred

- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team

Banquet Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Work directly with clients and cross-functional teams to finalize event logistics, timelines, and services
- Supervise, schedule, and support Banquet Captains, coordinators, and staff, providing leadership before, during, and after events
- Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown to ensure quality and efficiency
- Monitor staffing, labor, and banquet supply costs to support financial goals and optimal event execution
- Foster a positive, professional, and service-oriented environment through hands‑on guidance and clear communication
