The Senior Employee Relations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing employee relations strategy across the organization, ensuring consistent, fair, and legally compliant practices. This role partners closely with HR leadership, legal counsel, and business leaders to address complex employee relations matters, mitigate risk, and foster a positive, respectful workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations issues, including investigations related to performance management, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers on employee relations strategy, conflict resolution, corrective action, and terminations
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve employee relations policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Conduct and oversee workplace investigations, ensuring timely, thorough, and well-documented outcomes
  • Partner with Legal and HR leadership to manage risk, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Analyze trends in employee relations cases and provide data-driven recommendations to improve engagement and reduce risk
  • Support organizational change initiatives, including restructures, reductions in force, and culture transformation efforts
  • Develop and deliver training for leaders and HR partners on employee relations, investigations, and employment law topics
  • Ensure consistency and equity in the application of disciplinary actions across the organization
  • Act as an escalation point for sensitive or high-risk employee matters
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish
  • 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant focus in employee relations
  • Proven experience managing complex investigations and high-risk employee relations issues
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (EEOC, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and executive-level stakeholders
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
