Position Summary

Biz Ops Collective is seeking an experienced and high-impact HR Generalist for a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing client.

The HR Generalist serves as the primary on-site HR partner for a fast-paced production facility, delivering comprehensive human resources support and consistent execution of HR initiatives and daily HR operations. This role works in close partnership with a remote HR Business Partner and maintains a strong dotted-line partnership with site leadership. The HR Generalist supports workforce planning, drives high-volume recruitment efforts, and serves as a trusted resource for employee and labor relations, compliance, and operational HR needs.

This is a highly visible, on-site HR role that is deeply embedded in day-to-day operations and the employee experience. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted partner to both senior HR leadership and site management, supporting a fast-paced workforce that scales significantly during peak season and requires a balance of strategic planning and hands‑on execution. This position offers broad exposure across full‑cycle recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance support, with the ability to make an immediate, measurable impact on culture, retention, and workforce effectiveness—ideal for a high-energy, adaptable HR professional who exercises sound judgment, thrives in ambiguity, and leads with professionalism and a solutions‑oriented mindset.

Overview

of Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational HR Partnership

Serve as the on-site HR lead, partnering with the HR Business Partner and Site Director to execute HR initiatives aligned with operational goals.

Coach leaders on performance management, documentation, employee development, and corrective action practices.

Identify and drive improvements related to retention, engagement, and overall employee experience.

High-Volume Recruitment & Workforce Planning

Lead full-cycle recruiting for seasonal ramp-ups and ongoing hiring, including supervisory roles.

Execute workforce plans to support large-scale hiring timelines, ensuring compliant, efficient recruiting and onboarding workflows.

Track recruitment activity and provide updates and insights to leadership.

Provide extended-hours and weekend coverage during peak season (primarily October–December) to meet hiring and operational demands.

Employee Relations & Culture

Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders on policy, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution.

Support fair, consistent employee relations practices through issue investigation, documentation, and follow-through.

Reinforce a positive, productive culture through proactive communication and engagement support.

HR Administration & Compliance

Ensure compliance with wage‑and‑hour, payroll, and break requirements; support timekeeping and attendance administration in partnership with payroll.

Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records within HRIS and reporting tools; support badge/access administration as needed.

Analyze workforce data and continuously improve HR processes to strengthen service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

3–5 years of HR Generalist experience supporting high-volume operations within manufacturing, production, distribution, or large-scale retail environments.

Working knowledge of core HR disciplines, including employee relations/conflict resolution, retention and engagement strategies, and compliance with state wage‑and‑hour, payroll, and break-time requirements.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; SHRM coursework and/or active pursuit of certification is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with advanced capability in Excel required; experience with Paylocity is strongly preferred.

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and navigate HRIS and timekeeping systems while maintaining accuracy and data integrity.
