Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are a fast-growing, people-focused organization committed to fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees. This is a fully in-office position based in Phoenix, Arizona.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong relationships, guiding leaders through employee relations matters, and ensuring compliance while promoting engagement and growth across the organization. This position is open due to organizational growth.
Position SummaryReporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the HRBP plays a critical role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, and payroll support. This role requires a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving, managing sensitive issues, and aligning HR practices with business objectives.
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance aligned with company policies and employment laws.
- Partner with managers to address performance concerns, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace issues.
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and timely resolution.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with employees and leaders through proactive communication and engagement.
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure a smooth and welcoming new hire experience.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to deliver effective orientation and integration plans.
- Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and termination meetings, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
- Coach and guide leaders through employee separations and sensitive workplace matters.
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of pay, bonuses, and deductions.
- Support wage and hour compliance efforts and assist with audits as needed.
- Maintain HRIS accuracy and employee data integrity.
- Provide support with benefits administration and compliance reporting.
- Deliver day-to-day HR guidance to employees and managers.
- Collaborate with leadership on organizational development initiatives and change management efforts.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous process improvements to enhance the employee experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive HR generalist or HRBP experience, including strong employee relations experience in a multi-state environment.
- Working knowledge of FLSA and payroll processes; prior payroll experience or close payroll partnership preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and sound judgment.
