Job Description

As our company’s Benefits Manager, you will lead the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of Asset Mark’s employee benefits programs. You will oversee benefits operations, provide expert guidance to employees and leadership, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The ideal Benefits Manager is a proactive and strategic professional who can identify opportunities to improve processes, resolve complex benefits issues, and guide the team with professionalism in a fast‑paced environment. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills to enhance employee experience, optimize benefit offerings, manage the wellness program, and support Asset Mark’s mission and core values.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Charlotte, NC or Phoenix, AZ locations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the administration, coordination, execution, and maintenance of all company‑sponsored benefit programs, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert on company policies, programs, and benefits, providing guidance and education to employees and leadership.

  • Proactively resolve benefits‑related issues or escalate to the appropriate party, ensuring diligent follow‑up so no issues remain open.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with associates at all levels, as well as with vendors, carriers, and brokers, to ensure seamless benefits delivery.

  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of reports, files, and records, ensuring data integrity and compliance in both electronic and paper formats.

  • Manage and oversee leaves of absence programs, including Workers’ Compensation, Short‑Term/Long‑Term Disability, FMLA, and personal leaves, in partnership with vendors, carriers, and brokers.

  • Lead the wellness program, including strategy, planning, communication, vendor management, and measurement of outcomes and participation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Proven experience administering and managing employee benefit programs, including health, welfare, and leave programs.

  • Ability to work effectively across the organization, demonstrating diplomacy, professionalism, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to benefits administration and health plan administration, including HIPAA, ACA, and ERISA.

  • Prior experience analyzing HR or benefits data, generating reports from HRIS or other databases, and making actionable recommendations.

Education & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in field preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Compensation

The Base Salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $135,000. This information reflects a base salary range that Asset Mark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
