Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR/Payroll Coordinator to manage our human resources functions and payroll processing. You will serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and company policies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and maintains the highest level of confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately for all facility staff.

  • Maintain electronic timecard systems and resolve punch errors.

  • Manage employee onboarding, orientations, and background checks.

  • Maintain employee personnel files in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.

  • Track and manage leave of absence requests and workers' compensation claims.

  • Respond to employee HR and payroll inquiries with exceptional customer service.

  • Assist administration with compliance audits and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility preferred.

  • Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll taxes.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle sensitive data with utmost discretion.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • WORKDAY experience preferred/recommended
