Job Summary:

The position of Assistant Event Staffing Manager reports to the Event Staffing Manager. This is an in-office role responsible for managing scheduling and staffing, overseeing internal teams to ensure staffing requests are filled, and serving as the main point of contact for Event Resources when the Event Resources Manager is out of office. This role works closely with Human Resources on disciplinary documentation and coaching and counseling, and shares weekend on call responsibilities with the Event Staffing Manager to ensure manager coverage is available as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure all staffing requests are filled accurately and on time.
  • Serve as an in office resource overseeing internal teams and day-to-day staffing operations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Event Resources when the Event Staffing Manager is out of office.
  • Work side by side with Human Resources to draft and prepare disciplinary actions, coaching, and counseling documentation.
  • Alternate weekend call support with the Event Staffing Manager to ensure a manager is available to support weekends as needed.
  • Monitor staffing levels across scheduled events and address gaps proactively.
  • Work with groups and manage costs to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
  • Assist in resolving staffing conflicts and elevate issues as needed.
  • Communicate scheduling changes and staffing updates to internal teams in a timely manner.
  • Support the Event Staffing Manager with team oversight and daily operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be organized, detail orientated, possess strong communication skills, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple assignments at the same time with great attention to detail and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and drive resolutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must be strong people focused on this role by liaising with staff, employees, and Human Resources.
  • Experience with employee relations, disciplinary documentation, or coaching and counseling preferred.
  • Must be available to participate in a weekend on call rotation as needed.
  • Experience of working in a busy, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and show initiative.
