Job Description
This full-time Human Resources Administrator / HR & Recruiting Coordinator role offers the opportunity to shape the employee experience from first contact through onboarding and beyond. In this highly visible, front-facing position, you support recruiting, HR administration, employee engagement, and office operations for a busy roofing and construction environment. You manage schedules and staffing logistics, coordinate executive travel and expenses, and serve as a trusted HR partner to leadership and field crews.
The role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who is passionate about supporting others and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven setting.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and continuously adjust daily roofing crew schedules, including shift changes, crew assignments, and job site coordination to ensure projects run smoothly.
+ Monitor field crew time and attendance, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate records and support payroll and compliance.
+ Support workforce planning and staffing logistics across multiple concurrent projects, aligning crew availability with operational needs.
+ Process a high volume of scheduling updates and operational requests with speed and clear communication between leadership, office staff, and field teams.
+ Coordinate multi-state executive travel, including booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and preparing detailed itineraries.
+ Prepare, submit, and track executive expense reports with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
+ Serve as a bilingual liaison between executives and Spanish-speaking crews, facilitating clear and professional communication across teams.
+ Provide general HR administrative support, including handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
+ Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing candidates, managing job offers, and supporting compensation discussions.
+ Partner with leaders to understand hiring needs and effectively fill open positions using both active and passive sourcing strategies.
+ Utilize ATS and HRIS systems to maintain accurate candidate and employee data, and support HR processes and reporting.
+ Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires.
+ Provide administrative support to the front office and assist with special projects as needed.
+ Represent HR in a professional, front-facing capacity, building trust and maintaining strong relationships across diverse teams.
+ Communicate clearly and professionally with leadership, office staff, and field teams to support engagement and alignment.
+ Operate as a self-starter, independently managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR administration and/or recruiting.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Experience managing job offers and supporting compensation discussions.
+ Proven ability to partner with leaders to understand hiring needs and successfully fill open positions.
+
Experience with both active and passive sourcing strategies to identify and attract talent.
+ Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS systems, with a commitment to data accuracy.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to quickly build trust across teams.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Comfortable representing HR in a professional, front-facing capacity with employees at all levels.
+ Self-starter who operates independently with minimal supervision.

Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in roofing, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry is preferred.
+
Experience with Team Engine or similar recruiting and communication platforms is a plus.
+ Experience working with HR systems such as ATS, HRIS, and platforms like UKG is beneficial.
+ Exposure to human resources, talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, and HR support functions.
+ Experience providing administrative support in a busy office environment.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where results and consistency are important.
+ Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and contribute to continuous improvement in HR and operations processes.
