Our client is a growing organization seeking an HR leader who can turn benefits and employee programs into a meaningful competitive advantage for its workforce. This role offers the opportunity to influence how employees experience the organization throughout their careers, while leading a small team and improving programs that support wellbeing, engagement, and retention. The Director of Benefits & Employee Experience will combine hands-on program leadership with a strong service mindset, bringing structure, consistency, and fresh ideas to a dynamic, multi-location environment.

Focus:

• Lead the administration and delivery of health, welfare, retirement, and supplemental benefit programs while maintaining required ACA, COBRA, and employee notice processes.
• Coordinate annual enrollment activities, employee communications, system updates, issue resolution, and other activities that create an efficient benefits experience.
• Manage relationships with benefit providers, brokers, and external partners, including escalations, renewals, budgets, and program performance.
• Leverage workforce insights and program data to enhance the effectiveness, value, and impact of benefits and wellness offerings.
• Shape and manage programs that promote employee engagement, appreciation, wellness, and access to valuable workplace resources.
• Strengthen onboarding, offboarding, and other key employee lifecycle programs to create consistent experiences across locations.
• Partner with managers and HR stakeholders to identify employee experience challenges and implement practical process and program improvements.
• Guide and develop a team focused on delivering benefits and employee programs while setting clear goals and priorities.
• Based in Phoenix with regular travel to company sites and field locations, averaging roughly 30 percent.

Skill Set:

• 4 to 6 years of HR experience spanning benefits, workforce programs, or employee engagement, with prior experience leading a team.
• Solid expertise across employee benefits programs, including healthcare coverage, retirement plans, COBRA administration, and ACA compliance.
• Proven ability to enhance employee transition programs while coordinating external partners and collaborating effectively across internal teams.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities with demonstrated program ownership and follow-through.
• Effective communicator who can build productive relationships with employees, managers, vendors, and HR leadership.
• Comfortable supporting employees and stakeholders across multiple locations or business environments.
• Experience supporting employees across complex, fast-paced operational environments is preferred.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, CEBS, or a comparable HR or benefits credential is preferred.
