Overview

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Director of Data Intelligence and Analytics in Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite/2 Days Remote). A rapidly growing financial technology company in the Phoenix area is seeking a Director of Data Intelligence and Analytics to lead the evolution of its data and software capabilities. This strategic, high visibility role blends technology leadership, modern architecture, and enterprise transformation.

You will define and guide the organization's strategy for modern data and software platforms, ensuring all initiatives directly support business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Architect secure, scalable systems built on modern technologies such as .NET, Python, Azure, and cloud-native patterns including microservices, API-first development, and real-time data processing to accelerate digital transformation.
  • Lead Agile delivery, Dev Ops, CI/CD, and engineering best practices to enable faster execution, greater reliability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive cloud migrations, legacy modernization, automation initiatives, and the adoption of next-generation data capabilities.
  • Design and oversee cutting-edge data architectures that power high-volume data pipelines, real-time insights, and advanced analytics.
  • Support platforms that enable AI/ML, predictive modeling, and intelligent automation to strengthen decision making and the customer experience.
  • Leverage tools such as Microsoft SQL, Postgre

    SQL, Tableau, Power BI, R, and Python to translate data into actionable business outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee program execution including vendor management, budgeting, and resource planning.
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain FINRA Series 7 within the first 12 months of employment
  • Proven experience leading data-driven initiatives that deliver measurable business results
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and passionate about AI, machine learning, and real-time analytics
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and executive audiences
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement
Technical & Architectural Expertise
  • Deep experience designing scalable, secure, and modern software systems using .NET, Python, Azure, and cloud-native architectures (e.g., microservices, API-first design, real-time data processing)
  • Proven ability to architect and deliver modern data platforms, including high-volume data pipelines, real-time analytics, and advanced data modeling
  • Knowledge of SQL and No

    SQL) and data visualization/analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, R, and Python
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation technologies
Delivery & Methodology
  • Demonstrated success leading Agile, Dev Ops, and CI/CD practices to accelerate software delivery and improve engineering quality
  • Experience driving cloud migrations, legacy modernization, and enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
  • Ability to manage full program life cycles including planning, execution, governance, vendor management, and budget/resource oversight
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Proven leadership experience guiding and mentoring cross-functional teams of software engineers, data engineers, and technical specialists
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
