Sr IT Project Management Specialist

Job Description

As a Sr IT Project Management Specialist here at Honeywell, you will collaborate with and support IT project managers, working as part of the project management office to deliver projects that meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

You will report directly to our Sr Director of IT and will work out of our Phoenix, Arizona or Charlotte, North Carolina location. The first 90 days will be onsite before transitioning to a hybrid 3/2 schedule.

In this role you will impact the organization by ensuring the successful execution of our technology initiatives. By supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, you will be instrumental in achieving our long‑term goals.

• Partner with business stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the business processes and priorities pertinent to the project planning and scoping activity.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to define and execute IT project strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring they drive innovation and operational efficiency.
• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

Travel, between 10–20%, may be expected.

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management.
• Experience contributing to SAP S4 HANA implementation or other ERP or IT projects.
• Proven success in delivering complex IT projects, meeting quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
• Knowledge of PMO governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Domain knowledge and business process expertise in large diversified multinational companies.
• Experience with MS Office (especially advanced Excel), MS Project, PPT, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Ability to foster good relationships, prioritize, influence, and work collaboratively with cross‑functional global teams.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Direct experience implementing and supporting global technology solutions across time zones strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and strategic IT initiatives.
• A passion for staying current with emerging industry trends and best practices.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capabilities.
• Experience contributing to portfolio management, prioritization, and resource planning.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools.
• Ability to process large quantities of data and generate stakeholder‑oriented outputs and presentations.
