Job Description

This position is based in the greater Phoenix, AZ area (South Central AZ region) and is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, gather, and review requirements supporting the design and implementation of wired/wireless LANs.
  • Perform site surveys to design the network and identify device placement and materials required for implementation and configuration of wired/wireless LANs.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance of information technology and network infrastructure systems.
  • Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks; contribute to overall performance, security, and availability of the program’s IT environment.
  • Perform test and evaluation of wired and wireless networks to confirm performance and security according to established thresholds.
  • Diagnose and resolve network‑related issues, install network hardware, implement network configurations, and provide technical support to end‑users.
  • Configure, implement, and operate IT and network applications to manage and perform network management and orchestration functions in production, lab, staging, and test environments.
  • Manage and assign relevant Internet Protocol (IP) space in coordination with other systems across the customer enterprise.
  • Meet with the customer regularly to report on the status of orchestration implementation and overall network health.
  • Ensure direct down‑trace configuration, troubleshooting, and touch labor; provide input to other local IT personnel assisting with network maintenance.
  • Collaborate with assigned technical team to implement base configuration files for changes to new devices.
  • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation such as enterprise architecture, application/system design, and network architecture and design.
  • Support fielding, maintenance, and operation of CCTV and VTC systems.
  • Experience with Aruba networking equipment is a plus.
  • Support 24/7 operations; will require shift and weekend work.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to gain a DoD Secret Clearance or Public Trust clearance.
  • High School plus specialized training, and 6+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education, professional training, or experience.
  • Candidate must be DoD 8570 IAT Level I or Level II compliant; additional network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CWNP) are a plus.
  • Experience in general networking and network administration, upgrades, and operations.
  • Good technical writing skills with experience producing reports using Microsoft Office Suite including Visio.
  • Understanding of telecommunication room (TR), CAT 6, crimps, and wiring standards; BICSI certification is a plus.
  • Licensed and able to drive a vehicle.
  • Ability to climb a 10‑ft ladder and lift at least 40 lb.

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires U.S. citizenship.
