Data Analyst

Job Description

This Data Analyst will support internal teams and external customers by helping deliver accurate reporting and data solutions. The role focuses on executing reporting requests, supporting data imports/exports, and assisting with data-related tasks under established processes and team standards.

• Supporting customer and internal requests for reports, data imports, and data exports
• Gathering requirements and documenting details in JIRA tickets
• Writing and updating SQL queries to support reporting and data requests
• Creating and maintaining reports using SSRS and/or PowerBI
• Assisting with data validation and basic QA testing
• Updating existing documentation and following established data processes
• Collaborating with senior analysts and engineers to troubleshoot issues
• Adhering to data security, confidentiality, and internal policies
• Occasional travel (1–2 times per year) may be required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of experience in a data analyst or reporting-focused role
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and basic data manipulation
• Experience creating or maintaining reports using tools such as SSRS, Power
  
  BI, or similar BI tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)
• Experience documenting work and tracking requests using JIRA or a similar ticketing system
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with general direction and support
• Experience supporting government, public sector, or regulated environments
• Exposure to data imports, exports, or migrations
• Familiarity with Visual Studio / SSRS
• Experience working in a customer-facing or client-support environment
• Basic understanding of data quality checks or QA testing
