CTMS Administrator

Job Summary

The Database Administrator (DBA) II will provide support to include incident and request intake, documentation and resolution; problem analysis; installation and maintenance support; and project task fulfillment. In addition, the DBA II's provide guidance, mentoring and training for other DBA's and participate in a support on-call rotation facilitating off-hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment.

• Performs database maintenance, backup management, performance management, database documentation, database platform patching and updates by direction. Database Management System Setup. Assesses database management system and subsequent databases, performs basic troubleshooting and triage tasks, by direction performs corrective actions, executes scripts, and deploys database and system objects utilizing common industry best practices.
• Uses communication skills to listen to, identify & address customer needs while building a relationship and rapport with customers. Builds positive working relationships with team members, managers & all departments. Prioritizes and responds promptly based on severity levels to needs of the customer. Proactively or timely recognizes opportunities for service recovery and acts to resolve issues.

• Completes IT Governance & IT project job assignments to ensure achievement of established project milestones.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline - Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years' work related experience in Computer Science, Information Systems - Required

• 3 years experience in MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or Cache/Mumps. Must be functionally experienced in troubleshooting and tuning. Must have intermediate knowledge of Windows Server settings and Unix (Linux) server settings - Required
• 4 years of experience in Networking, Server Management and Storage management, MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or Cache/Mumps. Must be functionally experienced in troubleshooting and tuning. Must have intermediate knowledge of Windows Server settings and Unix (Linux) server settings - Preferred
