MuleSoft Sr Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Mule Soft Sr Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. Responsible for designing scalable and fault-tolerant APIs, optimizing platform performance, and ensuring secure, reliable integrations across hybrid deployment environments.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mule Soft Sr Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Architect, design, and develop scalable, secure Mule Soft APIs for payment processing and integration ecosystems.
• Lead full API lifecycle management including design, development, deployment, security, and maintenance.
• Implement API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS) and ensure compliance with financial data regulations.
• Optimize Mule Soft performance, vCore utilization, and ensure high availability with clustering and load balancing.
• Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka and integrate with No
  
  SQL databases for real-time processing.
• Drive Dev Sec Ops  practices, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in API development, integration, and Mule Soft engineering.
• Strong expertise in Mule Soft architecture, API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS), and hybrid deployments (Cloud Hub & On-Prem).
• Proven experience in designing scalable, high-availability payment APIs with event-driven architectures (Kafka), performance optimization, and observability tools.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
