Description:
TEKsystems is partnering with an end‑client on a Network Transformation across 500+ locations in Arizona. The project involves supporting a range of install projects, from small sites of 5‑10 users to larger office locations of 1,000+ users, and all associated infrastructure. The network changes will require support for over 40,000 employees across the state.
Network Refresh Technician
ResponsibilitiesThe Network Refresh Technician will be responsible for deploying network equipment on site at State Agency locations. On scheduled migration nights, technicians will coordinate with the NOC to remove existing equipment, install, turn on, and test new equipment to ensure functionality. They will maintain installation documentation and communicate effectively with PMs and the NOC team to ensure a smooth cutover.

A CCNA or Network+ certification is also a nice to have.
Additional QualificationsProfessionalism and strong communication skills are paramount as this is a customer‑facing role with State of Arizona agency employees.
Work EnvironmentThe team consists of about 15 technicians. Each site will have a determined number of technicians based on size, ranging from working solo on a small site to working with 4‑5 other technicians on a larger site.
Impact to the Internal/External CustomerHaving skilled technicians who can install and troubleshoot the hardware ensures a smooth Network Refresh for the entire AZNet III Engagement.
Project BackgroundLumen is embarking on a new phase of its managed services contract supporting the State of Arizona network. The new phase includes a Network Refresh initiative to replace aging infrastructure across all physical agency locations.
