Pay Range: $57,636 - $80,683 Annually

This is an in‑office position located in Tucson, AZ, and cannot be remote. The department is unable to provide visa sponsorship.

• Conducts data analysis using established tools and techniques to extract insights from datasets.
• Creates clear and effective data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Ensures data accuracy and reliability by implementing basic quality assurance procedures.
• Develops and produces routine reports and summaries based on data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborates with cross‑functional teams, including professionals and data experts, to support department initiatives and projects.
• Maintains documentation of data analysis processes, data sources, and methodologies used for future reference.
• Adheres to data security protocols and assists in safeguarding sensitive data.
• Stays informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to data analysis through continuous learning and training.
• Provides support to more senior analysts on data analysis projects, including data collection, data cleaning, and basic project management tasks.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned in support of the overall goals and functions of both the Human Resources Department and Pima County.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university or technical trade school with a major in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems (MIS), or a closely‑related field, and at least one year of business analysis or related technical experience.

Relevant experience and/or education from an accredited institution may be substituted.

• Experience in data analysis or program evaluation within justice systems or the public sector.
• Experience with various statistical analysis methods.
• Experience with statistical analysis software such as STATA, SPSS.

Applicants will be selected based on meeting the minimum qualifications. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated against advertised preferred qualifications. Further assessments or testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Valid driver license required at the time of application; a valid AZ driver license required at the time of appointment. The successful applicant will undergo a 39‑month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review. Failure to maintain required licenses may lead to termination.
