Position Description
TitleIT Support Specialist
ClassificationNon‑Exempt
General Statement of ResponsibilitiesTo maintain technology and network equipment in operating condition and assist in resolving software application problems.
Principal Duties- Assist with troubleshooting, planning for and installing technology equipment, network equipment, and user applications.
- Monitor, configure, maintain and repair technology and network equipment.
- Maintain and document work records and files.
- Assist with the technology and network equipment inventory.
- Transport equipment, supplies and materials to appropriate job sites.
- Assist in user training and information updates for network users.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of computers, operating systems and networks.
- Knowledge of technology equipment used in educational settings.
- Knowledge of software applications and multiple computer platforms.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in computer installation, repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnostic practices and procedures.
- Skill in operating computers and various software applications.
- Skill in troubleshooting, installing and maintaining computer hardware and software.
- Skill in troubleshooting, installing and maintaining technology equipment.
- Skill in communicating orally and in writing.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
- Must be able to work independently without any supervision.
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Able to perform the following physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation: general vision corrected to 20/20, normal hearing, ability to speak and give directions clearly; able to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift (up to 75 pounds), carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma and six (6) months of computer network installation or computer maintenance work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skill. A four‑year degree is preferred.
Required Licensure/CertificationValid Arizona Driver’s License.
Position Length12‑month position.
