Pollard Banknote is looking for a PC Technician with strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities to join our team in Phoenix!
The PC Technician is responsible for providing foundational IT support, focusing on client computing hardware, vendor technologies, and in‑house applications. The core focus of this role involves performing fault isolation, validating and correcting faults, and verifying service restoration with customers. The technician will process, document, and coordinate the resolution of trouble calls with the help desk, while also monitoring user accounts and maintaining equipment.
WhatYou'll Do
- Maintain servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches, install & configure hardware and software.
- Perform fault isolation and validation procedures, correcting issues, and verifying service restoration with customers.
- Process, document, and coordinate resolution of trouble calls with the service desk. Monitor and manage user accounts and maintain equipment.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues for standard and specialized departmental applications.
- Other duties as assigned related to the position.
- Associate’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in desktop support, or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate MS Windows and MS Office skills.
- Intermediate Macintosh OS and hardware skills.
- Experience providing hardware and software support across desk and mobile devices.
- Experience with IT Service Management Tools (Service Now/Jira).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective customer service, written and verbal communication skills; work in a team environment and interact with employees who may be unfamiliar with our systems or software.
- Someone with the ability to self‑motivate to complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Highly organized, with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Someone who can work well under pressure.
- A person with strong attention to detail and accuracy to meet requirements and production demands.
- Someone who can apply initiative and source information as needed to work through new task assignments.
