Mainframe CICS System Administrator

• CICS Administration & Maintenance:
  Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS) environments; apply patches (PTFs), manage version upgrades, and perform regression validation; configure and maintain CICS regions (production, test, DR); maintain startup parameters and system initialization tables (DFHSIT).
• Performance Monitoring & Tuning:
  Monitor transaction performance and system health using tools such as OMEGAMON, Main View, TMON; analyze transaction response times, CPU utilization, storage usage; perform tuning to eliminate bottlenecks.

* This role requires employees to live in or around the Phoenix, AZ area. Onsite 3 days a week. We will consider candidates who are willing to relocate to the area.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Mainframe CICS.
• Proven experience in CICS System Administration environment with work management, user management, journal management and performance management.
• Experience in CICS transaction server, related ISV products; capable of upgrading/ installing and migrating CICS Transaction servers; capable of upgrading/installing and supporting IBM & ISV related products.
• Proficient in technologies like P2V, V2V and P2P migrations.
• Proven experience on the CICS functionality and architecture.
• Basic knowledge of z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, third‑party products.
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of Assembler, COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills; participate in on‑call rotation with engineering teams; ability to follow a project through to completion and/or work with larger teams on complex projects.

• Compensation range: $61,560 to $146,640 based on a full‑time schedule; will vary with geography, skills and experience.
• Eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance.
