SAP S​/HANA SD​/FI Consultant – Billing

We are supporting a client in the energy sector on an SAP S/4

HANA enhancement project following a recent deployment. They are looking for a hands-on SAP S/4

HANA SD/FI Consultant with strong billing/invoicing experience who can also support project leadership activities.

This role will play a key part in designing and implementing a Direct Invoicing solution, which is not yet fully defined—making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solution design as well as delivery.

• Start: August 2026
• Duration: 4–6 months (with potential extension)
• Location: Remote (US-based) with occasional travel to Phoenix, AZ
• Hours: part time to start and then ramping up to full time after initial assessment and planning

• Lead the design and implementation of Direct Invoicing within SAP S/4
  
  HANA
• Assess business requirements and determine the most appropriate approach (SD Billing, FI-AR, and/or FI-CA)
• Support end-to-end billing and invoicing processes within S/4
  
  HANA
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define solutions
• Provide hands‑on functional support/configuration where needed
• Support project management activities including planning, coordination, and delivery

• Strong experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA
• Hands‑on expertise in SAP SD (Billing) and FI‑AR
• Experience with invoice processing and order‑to‑cash flows
• Ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions
• Experience working in project‑based environments, ideally with some PM or lead responsibilities

• Experience with FI‑CA and/or Convergent Invoicing
• Exposure to utilities, energy, or solar industry projects
• Experience leading design workshops or solution architecture discussions
