Our client, a Fortune 300 industry leader headquartered in Phoenix, is seeking a Service Now QA Engineer to validate quality, security, and reliability across an enterprise Service Now platform that includes GRC and compliance modules, SailPoint identity governance integration, and enterprise system integrations. This role goes beyond standard functional QA. You will be testing security ACL logic, cross-platform identity workflows, and integration handoffs in an environment with formal change control and audit-facing documentation requirements.
Responsibilities- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases (ATF) for Service Now applications and modules
- Validate security-related changes such as ACLs, business rules, and script include logic
- Test integration points between Service Now and other systems, including identity management tools like Sail Point
- Execute regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) ahead of releases
- Document defects clearly and track through resolution using formal change and issue tracking processes
- Validate that update sets and configuration changes move cleanly between environments
- Produce test documentation and evidence supporting internal review or external audit processes
- Recommend improvements to testing processes, coverage, and efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience testing Service Now modules and platform functionality
- Strong knowledge of Service Now ACL structure, script includes, and business rule behavior
- Hands-on experience with Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Experience testing integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, middleware tools)
- Proficiency with formal change management processes including update sets and change records
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- GRC or security-related certifications
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman or similar)
- Exposure to CMDB, HRSD, or other Service Now modules
- Prior experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
