PNNL is modernizing its Acquisitions ecosystem as part of a multi-year Oracle Cloud ERP transformation. We are seeking an Oracle Cloud Procurement Platform Engineer to support the implementation, stabilization, and long-term sustainment of Oracle Cloud Procurement and related ERP capabilities.
In this role, you will serve as a techno-functional Procurement engineer, partnering closely with Procurement, Finance, compliance, supplier management, implementation partners, and internal ERP work streams including Integrations, Data, Reporting, Architecture, Security, and Testing.
This is a platform-focused role, emphasizing configuration ownership, system stability, compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement – not short-term, project-only delivery. The role will support PNNL's long-term Acquisitions product strategy to simplify procurement through integrated, compliant, and transparent workflows; reduce friction from request to purchase order/award; improve visibility into procurement status and approvals; and strengthen supplier readiness, contract quality, and audit posture.
Expertise in every Oracle Procurement-related module is not required; strong depth in a subset of modules, paired with a willingness to learn across the platform, is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle Cloud Procurement and related ERP modules to meet business and operational needs.
- Translate Procurement, Acquisitions, Supplier Management, and related Finance requirements into scalable, supportable Oracle Cloud configurations.
- Participate in requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Collaborate with cross-cutting ERP teams including Integration, Data, Reporting, Security, Architecture, and Testing to deliver end-to-end Procurement solutions.
- Support System Integration Testing and assist with UAT readiness, defect triage, and resolution.
- Evaluate Oracle quarterly cloud updates, perform impact analysis, coordinate regression testing, and support adoption of new features.
- Configure and support procurement workflows, approvals, notifications, document sequencing, business rules, and controls.
- Support supplier-facing capabilities, including supplier registration, qualification, supplier portal functionality, and supplier data maintenance.
- Support procurement lifecycle capabilities from requisition through purchase order, sourcing events, contracts, supplier management, receiving, invoicing, and related downstream processes.
- Partner with Finance and Procurement stakeholders to ensure alignment across Tax, Expenses, Accounts Payable, Inventory, and related financial processes.
- Troubleshoot configuration, security, workflow, data, and integration issues across the Procurement landscape.
- Support and troubleshoot role-based security, data access, approvals, and provisioning issues in partnership with security/ IAM teams.
- Partner with integration teams on procurement, supplier, inventory, expense, and…
