Business Analyst

Our client, a well-established organization within the financial services and legal space, is seeking a Business Analyst to support the growth of its internal IT organization. This position will play a key part in translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements for development teams within an Agile environment. This is an opportunity to join a small, collaborative team and contribute to building scalable technology solutions that support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, define, and document business and functional requirements
  • Create detailed documentation including process flows, user stories, user journeys, use cases, acceptance criteria, and test cases
  • Act as a liaison between business and development teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented
  • Support testing and validation efforts to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Proactively identify risks and assist in mitigation planning

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience creating technical and functional documentation
  • Exposure to document generation technologies (XML preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of Business Analyst methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with in legal, mortgage, or financial services industries
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or SSRS
