Network Security Engineer (Dev Sec Ops )

Location:

Phoenix, AZ. Primary location: US, California, Santa Clara. Additional locations: US, Arizona, Phoenix; US, Oregon, Hillsboro.

Intel’s Information Security organization supports U.S. government projects. This role involves designing and building secure classified network products to meet U.S. Government requirements.

• Assist with architecting network and network security products in secured enclaves, including product testing, validation, and selection.
• Assist with design and long‑term roadmap planning for new and future scalability in secure enclaves.
• Play a supporting role in defining system security requirements, including authorization boundaries, security domains, and data classification.
• Assist with design of security interfaces, interconnections, and trust relationships between system components and external systems.
• Implement system security designs using commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS), government‑off‑the‑shelf (GOTS), and open‑source hardware and software.
• Oversee hardening and configuration of systems and components in accordance with Federal, DoD, and Intelligence Community guidance.
• Coordinate security assessments to identify control failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Business travel required as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Verification of U.S. citizenship required due to citizenship‑based legal restrictions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance.
• High School/Equivalent Diploma with at least one of the following certifications:
  VenaCCNA, CCNP, Network+, CISSP, CISM, CASP E, Security+ OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of applicable experience.
• 2+ years of experience in the following areas:
  • PKI engineering.
  • Power Shell scripting for automation and configuration management, secure coding, and encryption techniques in an enterprise environment.
  • X.509 certificates, certificate authorities (CAs), OCSP, CRLs, key management, and SSL/TLS protocols.
  • Microsoft ADCS, HSMs, and enterprise certificate enrollment (e.g., SCEP, EST).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline and four years of work‑related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with DoD security implementation (e.g., STIG) and security tools for managing the environment.
• Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Experience with network analysis software such as SD Elements, Splunk, Sniffer, Wireshark, or Microsoft Network Monitor.
• Experience utilizing Ansible as a configuration management tool for system administration of users or devices, or as a security compliance automation tool.
