As a Sr IT Project Management Specialist here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead and mentor a team of IT project managers and specialists, shaping the strategic direction and effective execution of our technology projects. Collaborating closely with senior executives and cross‑functional teams, you will align IT project strategies with business objectives. With your guidance, we'll navigate the complexities of project management, delivering projects that meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

Key Responsibilities Project & Program Execution
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of medium to large‑scale IT projects.
  • Drive execution by coordinating multiple internal teams (IT, Finance, Business, Architecture, Security, Operations) and external partners/vendors.
  • Ensure consistent application of project management methodologies, governance, and compliance standards across all initiatives.
Financial & Vendor Management
  • Own project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis and working with Finance team.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, scope alignment, performance tracking, financial governance, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure effective utilization of internal and external resources while maintaining financial discipline and transparency.
  • Should have experience in managing the Projects in the tool like JIRA / ITPPM etc.
Leadership, Decision‑Making & Governance
  • Act as a decision‑maker and delivery leader, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
  • Bring the right stakeholders to the right forum to enable timely decisions, escalations, and resolution of complex issues.
  • Lead governance forums, project reviews, and steering discussions with senior stakeholders to maintain alignment and momentum.
Problem Solving & Risk Management
  • Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, independently analyzing complex situations, evaluating options, and driving practical, outcome‑focused solutions.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; escalated issues with clear recommendations and action plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and best practices across projects and teams.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor IT project managers and specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and support for professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and execution‑focused culture across cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in IT project management, providing thought leadership and best practices to stakeholders.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or project management role.
  • Proven experience managing project financials and budgets, external vendors and partners, multiple internal and external teams in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to make data‑driven decisions, influence stakeholders, and resolve complex delivery challenges.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
