Banner Health is currently seeking an RN Clinical Support Analyst II responsible for supporting the clinical applications needs of the Engagement & Support AZ Central team. This clinical applications support team member is responsible for providing informatics expertise and resources for assigned acute and ambulatory areas. They will be providing on-going clinical user support for various clinical and business operations teams.

This position supports the organization’s vision and direction for computer systems, workflow design, data management, and related processes. The RN Clinical Support Analyst II will serve as a liaison between the clinical staff, clinical education team, Nursing/Medical Informatics, and the Clinical Applications IT team to communicate user needs and facilitate system optimization.

The typical schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Occasional evening and/or night shifts required for project support. Prior experience in informatics is preferred. EHR experience, Oracle Cerner preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY This position will serve as the subject matter expert for complex clinical workflows as they relate to systems and processes. They will apply nursing standards as they collaborate with IT teams and user groups to develop and deploy best practices. Incorporate critical thinking and knowledge of clinical decision making into the support of software and IT processes. Assist with the clinical consensus group development and implementation of current and future state workflows.

Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop best practices based their broad understand across clinical venues and user groups. Collaborate to increase efficiencies and promote continuity of care through technology and workflow improvements.
CORE FUNCTIONS  
1. Applies nursing standards to perform outcome coordinator functions. Promotes holistic understanding of the application of technology to improve clinical workflows and patient care.  Provides clinical knowledge to perform high visibility rounding, user group support and coaching of end users. Performs user acceptance testing for system enhancements to ensure adoption and improvement of clinical care delivery. Participates in solution evaluation, tracks, monitors, and enhances usage, develops, and implements action plans.

Provides visibility and support of clinical applications systems. May coordinate with other appropriate departments regarding downtime.
2. Performs Educator functions. Provides clinical application system training of end users as needed through the application of clinical expertise and technical skills. Contribute to the implementation of communication and education plans in conjunction with clinical educators and leadership for current staff to ensure changes to the electronic health record are implemented, based knowledge and patient care experience. Utilizes data analytics to support needs-based training.

Identifies opportunities for educational opportunities across specialties or venues. Participates in system teams that work on process improvement in electronic health record and clinical application education activities.
