IT Asset Management (ITAM) Returns Team Member
The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Returns Team Member is responsible for efficiently managing the return process of IT assets from client employees. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with various IT Asset Management software systems while adhering to client-specific guidelines. Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT asset management, fulfillment, or similar roles is required.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

ITAM Director
Compensation: $21 - $25 per Hour DOE

Phoenix, AZ
Asset Reception and Verification
- Receive ITAM returns from client employees
- Verify that returned items match the expected ticket asset list
- Document any discrepancies between received items and the asset list
ITAM Asset Record Keeping
- Update client's ITAM software portal with accurate information on returned assets
- Ensure all relevant fields in the ITAM system are properly filled out
- Maintain data integrity within the client's asset management system
Asset Sorting and Classification
- Sort returned assets by type (e.g., laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals)
- Determine substate classification based on the client's standards list
- Label and organize assets according to their classification
Process Adherence
- Collaborate with team members to follow the correct process based on asset classification
- Ensure compliance with client-specific guidelines for asset handling
- Adapt to different processes for various clients as needed
Discrepancy Reporting
- Identify and document any discrepancies in returned assets
- Report discrepancies to the appropriate department for resolution
- Follow up on reported issues to ensure proper resolution
Quality Control
- Perform basic visual inspections of returned assets for obvious damage
- Flag assets that require further inspection or testing
- Ensure all assets are properly documented before moving to the next stage
Inventory Management
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of returned assets
- Participate in regular audits of returned asset inventory
- Help identify trends in asset returns that may inform future ITAM strategies
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with other ITAM teams to ensure smooth asset flow
- Participate in team meetings to discuss process improvements and challenges
Reporting and Analytics
- Generate reports on asset return activities and trends
- Assist in analyzing return data to identify patterns or issues
- Contribute to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the returns process
Compliance and Security
- Adhere to data security protocols when handling returned assets
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive information on returned devices
- Comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
- 2+ years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or related field
- Proficiency in using ITAM software and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow complex processes and procedures accurately
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of IT hardware and software
- The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects as needed 50+ lbs.
- Ability to work and look at a computer screen for extended hours per day.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for consecutive hours.
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment with some temperature fluctuations, moderate noise, and a fast-paced, busy atmosphere.
- The ability to speak/read English fluently
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid Drivers License
- The ability to pass a drug test
- The ability to pass a background screening with no prior convictions related to theft or cybercriminal activity.
