Power BI Report Developer

Position Description

As a key team member, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with the Power BI development environment. This individual will work closely with the product development manager and other team members in a lead role to design, develop and deploy reports in both a web-facing and internal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs into reporting requirements, identifying technology gaps and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Design and create data visualizations (reports) as required to support business needs
• Analyze datasets and reports to ensure data accuracy
• Write advanced SQL queries to support analytic project initiatives
• Collaborate with key partners, subject matter authorities, technical resources and Developers to define requirements and scope
• Coordinate, organize, and prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment to deliver reports to support business needs
• Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
• Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation

Position Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of work experience using Power BI
• Solid understanding of relational database architecture and proficient in writing SQL queries
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance in a collaborative team environment
• Self-starter, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities

Additional Skill Considerations:

• Working knowledge and experience within the Financial Payments industry
• Working knowledge and experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL
• Working knowledge and experience with SQL Server
